Marina Skourteli
Dr. Marina Skourteli is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist (HCPC Reg., CPsychol) and trainee psychoanalyst with the Hellenic Psychoanalytic Society. She completed her post- graduate and doctoral studies at the University of Manchester and City University London,where she studied the transference-countertransference dynamic of the therapeutic relationship. She worked as a psychologist and psychotherapist specializing in the field of mental health in the UK between 2005-2013. Since 2013 she has been working as manager of the psychotherapy and clinical placement Service at E.P.A.P.S.Y. ‘Franco Basaglia’ Psycho- social Rehabilitation Day Centre, offering mental health services including individual and group psychotherapy, psychiatric and Assertive Community Treatment to individuals suffering from serious mental health difficulties and complex psychopathology. She also works in private practice offering individual psychotherapy, clinical and research supervision. She is an active Qualitative Researcher with annual presence in psychiatry and psychology conferences in Greece and abroad; her main areas of interest include psychoanalysis, psychosomatics, adult psychopathology, perversions, violent and deviant behaviour.
